Job Description: Analyst – Expense Management – Field Service – Wealth Management
As an Analyst in the Expense Management team at Morgan Stanley, your primary responsibility will be reviewing and approving travel and expense (T&E) reimbursement requests for field advisors and branch personnel. This role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of expense requests while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
You will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, working closely with field management to resolve any issues that may arise during the expense approval process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and Approve T&E Expense Reimbursement Requests: Analyze and process expense reimbursement requests submitted by field advisors and branch personnel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver world-class customer service to field-facing and internal teams, maintaining a professional approach at all times.
- Timely and Accurate Expense Handling: Ensure that all expense requests are handled within stipulated timelines and in a precise manner. Address and resolve any issues or escalate as needed.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or deficiencies in expense reports efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
- Risk Management: Apply critical thinking and judgment to evaluate the risk and client experience when making decisions regarding expense approvals.
- Continuous Learning: Actively engage in training and educational programs to stay updated on the latest policies, procedures, and risk management practices.
- Process Improvement: Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions to enhance the efficiency of expense review and approval systems.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education experience is preferred. Candidates with applicable experience may also be considered.
- Experience: 0-2.5 years of experience in expense management, finance, or related fields.
- Strong Attention to Detail: The ability to scrutinize expense requests and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders effectively.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to analyze problems, resolve issues, and make informed decisions.
